- One scholarship is available for an International student with an offer to study any of the programmes (1-8) listed above.

Value: Each Google DeepMind Scholarship will cover the cost of tuition fees, a living allowance of £17,000, an annual £2,200 conference travel allowance and a one-off equipment grant of £1,700. Scholars are also offered support from a Google DeepMind mentor, and have opportunities to attend leading Artificial Intelligence academic conferences and Google DeepMind events.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a member of at least one of the under-represented groups listed below and have an offer to study in one of the programmes mentioned above.
a. Identify as female
b. Any Black background, including Black British, Black African, Black Caribbean, or mixed Black and another ethnicity.
Applicants from groups ‘a’ and ‘b’ will be considered for programmes 1-4. For programmes 5-8, priority will be given to applicants from group ‘b’. If we receive more eligible applications than available scholarships, funding decisions will be based on your written personal statement and academic merit.
Application and Selection Process
First, verify your eligibility to apply. The panel will not consider any applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria. Awards may be withdrawn if applicants are later found not to have met the criteria or provided false information.
Please complete and submit your application online. To complete your application, you will need to provide:
- Your Queen Mary Applicant ID Number (provided when you submitted your Master’s application online)
- A statement of purpose detailing why you should be considered for the award, what motivated your interest in this area of study at Queen Mary University of London, and how you will benefit from the scholarship.
A selection panel will meet in June 2024 to review applications and make a final decision based on academic merit and the statement of purpose. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 5 July 2024.
